ABOUT US
Based in the Foleshill community of Coventry, Anjuman provides innovative, integrated and fundamentally, service user-centric support for those over the age of 18 and experiencing mental ill health in Coventry. Since 2000, Anjuman has provided supported housing solutions of approximately 6-12 months in duration for over 900 individuals experiencing a diversity of mental health problems. With passion and energy, we deliver community based preventative support to adults in need and embraces the outcome based approach; our aim is to support them to become independent, healthy and live well.
Anjuman House is well-respected by service users, health and social care professionals throughout the West Midlands. It offers a safe and secure supported housing solution for service users seeking to eventually regain their autonomy through stepped care. Our service model offers service users a bespoke roadmap to independence, within a flexible and responsive support network.
OUR SERVICES
OUR
ACCOMMODATION
Foleshill is a busy suburb of Northern Coventry with approximately 20,000 residents. Our site lies at the heart of a thriving multicultural community, within close proximity to various shops, supermarkets, library, gym, restaurants as well as places of worship. This location ensures service users can strengthen their existing abilities; building their own social networks and supplementing like skills which enable them to work towards self-management in the long term.
Upon arrival, each service user is assigned their own room. All rooms are well-equipped for comfortable living and fully-furnished with storage, a single bed and a soft furnishing. Communal bathrooms are available throughout the property.
We do not offer a catering service at Anjuman – instead we offer a large, modern kitchen with individual lockers for storage. We believe that the promotion of self-catering amongst service users helps them become more independent prior to departing from Anjuman House. In addition, we have found from experience that many social networks are constructed in this way, as service users take the opportunity to socialise when preparing and consuming food in an open space.
Other communal spaces include a spacious living room including a TV, as well as a reasonably-sized garden. Both of these former spaces offer prime opportunity for socialising with other service users. The staffs ensure that all our facilities are up to date and working effectively, and are mindful of resident well-being.
